  • NEWS:

This has been a particularly busy year for me. I wrote, writing, recorded and producing my new CD, Night Sky, which also features my friend Mitch Iimori playing bass clarinet, clarinet, dulcimer, English horn and oboe. I have a new book coming out in the next month or so. It is called The Music Never Stops: A Journey Into the Music of the Unknown, the Forgotten, the Rich and the Famous. As you can tell from the title, my intent was not to rehash my own musical experiences, but to introduce the reader to the world of the many musicians that I have encountered in the course of a long and varied musical career. The publisher is Centerstream Publishing.

I am also currently revising my music industry textbook Understanding The Music Business, for Taylor & Francis. It should be available in Spring, 2017.

In early summer and fall I will be touring a special show that includes stories from the memoir, with my past and current music. The current dates are listed in the calendar section of this website. I expect to add additional dates in the near future.

I will also be teaching in the four day American Roots Music Program along with Stephen Wade, Matt Brown, Peggy Browning, Harry Tuft and Max Wolpert and several one day guests. The dates are Friday Sept 2nd to Monday Sept. 5th. For more information go to www.rockyridge.org/prgm/rootsmusic.php or call 970-586-4031.
